Annual Friends of the Library Dinner- “The Making of Raleigh’s Scrooge”

November 8 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$30.00

Friends of the Library, faculty, staff, students, alumni, & guests:

We are thrilled to invite you to the Annual Friends of the Library Dinner. We will be joined by Ira David Wood III, founder and executive director of Raleigh’s Theatre In the Park. Best known for his portrayal of Ebenezer Scrooge in his musical/comedy adaptation of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” Wood has been performing annually since 1974. Wood retired from the role on the show’s 50th anniversary run in 2023.

Please plan to join the Friends of the Library and guests of Campbell University in welcoming this renowned NC native to the Oscar N. Harris Ballroom stage this fall, as he shares stories about his conception and beloved production of “A Christmas Carol.”

Dinner for guests: $30 per person

Friends of the Library receive two free dinners.  Join Friends of the Library.

RSVP to Ms. Janice Manning, Administrative Assistant to the Dean, or register online: tinyurl.com/cufriendsfall2024.  Registration closes Friday, October 25th.
